about our privacy policy
SMPL International BV cares a lot about your privacy. We therefore only process data that we need for (improving) our services and handle the information we have collected about you and your use of our services with care. We never make your data available to third parties for commercial purposes.
This privacy policy applies to the use of the websites (https://www.smpl.international; https://members.smpl.international; https://investeer.smpl.international) and the services provided by SMPL International BV. The effective date for the validity of these terms and conditions is 15/11/2019; with the publication of a new version, the validity of all previous versions expires. This privacy policy describes what information about you is collected by us, what it is used for, and with whom and under what conditions it may be shared with third parties. We also explain to you how we store your data and how we protect your data against misuse and what rights you have with regard to the personal data you provide to us.

online store software
Plug&Pay
Our online store uses Plug&Pay software. Personal data that you provide to us for the purpose of providing our services is shared with this party. Plug&Pay has access to your data to provide us with (technical) support, they will never use your data for any other purpose. Based on the agreement we have concluded with them, Plug&Pay is obliged to take appropriate security measures. These security measures include the use of SSL encryption and a strong password policy. Plug&Pay uses cookies to collect technical information regarding your use of the software, no personal data is collected and/or stored. Plug&Pay reserves the right to share collected data within its own group in order to further improve the service.
web hosting
Cloud86
We purchase web hosting and email services from Cloud86. Cloud86 processes personal data on our behalf and does not use your data for its own purposes. However, this party may collect metadata about the use of the services. This is not personal data. Cloud86 has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent loss and unauthorized use of your personal data. Cloud86 is obliged to maintain confidentiality under the agreement.
email and mailing lists
Plug&Pay
We send our newsletters and transactional emails partly using our online store software “Plug & Pay”. All confirmation emails you receive from our website and web forms are sent via the Plug&Pay servers. Plug&Pay will never use your name and email address for its own purposes. At the bottom of every e-mail sent automatically via our website, you will see the 'unsubscribe' link. If you click on this, you will no longer receive an email from our website. This can seriously reduce the functionality of our website! Your personal data is sent, stored and unlocked securely by Plug&Pay. Plug&Pay uses cookies and other internet technologies that provide insight into whether e-mails are opened and read. In addition, Plug&Pay processes information about you as a recipient and the subject line of emails to improve the quality of service, which is stored for 30 days. Plug&Pay reserves the right to use your data to further improve the service and to share information with third parties in this context.
Omnisend
We partly send our e-mail newsletters with Omnisend. Omnisend will never use your name and email address for its own purposes. At the bottom of every e-mail sent automatically via our website, you will see the 'unsubscribe' link. You will no longer receive our newsletter. Your personal data is stored securely by Omnisend. Omnisend uses cookies and other internet technologies that provide insight into whether emails are opened and read. Omnisend reserves the right to use your data to further improve the service and to share information with third parties in this context.
Cloud86
We use the services of Cloud86 for our regular business e-mail traffic. This party has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent misuse, loss and corruption of your and our data as much as possible. Cloud86 has no access to our mailbox and we treat all our e-mail traffic confidentially.

Mollie
We use Mollie's platform to process (part of) the payments in our online store. Mollie processes your name, address and place of residence and your payment details such as your bank account or credit card number. Mollie has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Mollie reserves the right to use your data to further improve the service and to share (anonymized) data with third parties as part of this. All the above mentioned safeguards with regard to the protection of your personal data also apply to the parts of Mollie's services for which they engage third parties. Mollie does not store your data longer than allowed by the legal terms.
Klarna
In order to offer you Klarna's payment methods, we need to transfer personal data about you to Klarna. This only happens when you choose to pay with Klarna. Klarna uses the data to assess whether you can make use of the payment methods. The personal data is your name, address, telephone number, payment history and the details of your order, such as the payment method, the delivery address, the products ordered, etc. Your personal data is processed by Klarna in accordance with the applicable data protection law and as described in Klarna's privacy statement.

MyParcel
When you place an order with us, it is our job to have your package delivered to you. We use MyParcel's services to carry out the deliveries. It is therefore necessary that we share your name, address and residence details with MyParcel. MyParcel only uses this information for the purpose of executing the agreement. In the event that MyParcel engages subcontractors, MyParcel also makes your data available to these parties.

Moneybird
We use the services of MoneyBird to keep track of our administration and accounting. We share your name, address and place of residence details and details related to your order. This information is used to administer sales invoices. your personal data is sent and stored securely, MoneyBird has taken the necessary technical and organizational measures to protect your data against loss and unauthorized use. General purpose of processing
We only use your data for the purpose of providing our services. This means that the purpose of the processing is always directly related to the order you provide. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing. If you share information with us and we use this information to - other than at your request - contact you at a later time, we will explicitly ask you for permission to do so. Your information will not be shared with third parties, other than to comply with accounting and other administrative obligations. These third parties are all kept confidential under the agreement between them and us or an oath or legal obligation.
Automatic data collection
Data that is automatically collected by our website is processed with the aim of further improving our services. This information (for example, your IP address, web browser and operating system) is not personal data.Cooperation with tax and criminal investigations. Where appropriate, SMPL International may be required to share your data in connection with government tax or criminal investigations. Retention periods
We keep your data for as long as you are our client. This means that we keep your customer profile until you indicate that you no longer want to use our services. Based on applicable administrative obligations, we must keep invoices with your (personal) data, so we will keep this information for as long as the applicable period runs. However, employees no longer have access to your client profile and documents that we have produced in response to your assignment.
