The impact of grounding on our wellbeing

The movie 'The Earthing Movie' reveals how grounding — simply standing barefoot on Earth — can inhibit inflammation and improve our health.

Soil is the basis of our health. We've said that before. After all, all life literally comes from the soil and goes back to it. “Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.” The relationship that we humans have with the Earth is therefore essential to our existence. As good as the soil, so good are the plants that grow on it. As good as the plants, so good is our food. And as good as our food, so good is our health. But it goes even further,

We received a message from Josh Tickell in the mailbox. You may know him from the book 'Kiss the Ground' what we have reported about earlier. A book that explains the enormous importance of a vital soil. So highly recommended. But that's not what this post was about.

This post was about 'The Earthing Movie', a film he made with his wife. A documentary about 'grounding', or grounding. Slightly curious and encouraged by the opportunity to temporarily see it for free, I watched this movie this afternoon. And I don't regret that. Wow! What an epiphany!

Of course, I had heard of it before - just happened to be the other day Gaia.com (Netflix for the rest of us), but had paid no further attention to it. In short: Grounding is the ultimate answer to low-grade ignition. But what is it really?

Grounding is nothing else that ensures that your body is literally electrically connected to the Earth. And you do that by standing barefoot on the grass, sand or soil. Of course, you can also lie down, but the point is that there is nothing in between. So no shoes or clothes. If that's not practical, you can also buy a special 5% silver thread sheet that you can sleep on at night. You can easily connect this sheet to a grounded socket.

So if you do that, it appears that your body can 'unload' so that low-grade inflammations in your body cannot develop or persist. You won't notice low-grade inflammations, but they are the harbinger of all the welfare diseases you can imagine. Grounding is an incredibly simple and effective, and also free principle. 100% SMPL, I would say.

The experiences of the people who speak in the documentary don't lie, including some serious doctors. The reason for the film was that Josh's wife had a child who was very ill from birth and stayed for a long time. Until, after many tests and all possible therapies - from regular to alternative and weirder, she ended up with 'grounding'. That's when everything changed. At last this movie you have to see. #thesoil
